What you can expect:
- Technical and organizational leadership of the Design Engineering & Project Management departments
- Overall responsibility for the “New Developments” area with regard to deadlines, budget, and product quality
- Planning, control, and execution of design and development projects, including responsibility for budgets and timelines
- Coordination of technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring structured documentation of development processes and projects
- Application and further development of modern product development methods (e.g., FMEA, functional and risk analysis, etc.)
- Moderation of workshops and support of concept and quality processes
- Promotion and development of employees, as well as strengthening cross-functional collaboration and interface management
- Development and design of components and products (focus on power tools)
- Support in the continuous optimization of products in terms of functionality, cost, and manufacturability
What sets you apart:
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, design engineering, mechatronics, product development, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in design engineering, product development, and project management, ideally with initial leadership experience
- Very good technical understanding of the development of mechanical products (e.g., power tools) and confident use of CAD systems
- Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing technology as well as strength of materials (knowledge of fluid mechanics is an advantage)
- Structured and solution-oriented working style combined with a high degree of personal responsibility and flexibility
- Strong communication skills (also in English) and ability to work in a team
- Analytical thinking and assertiveness in the targeted management of complex projects and issues
