Reorganization & product launch
ELECTROSTAR/starmix restructures its sweeper segment and launches the haaga 677 plus model
Stuttgart/Ebersbach, September 9, 2025 – ELECTROSTAR/starmix is restructuring its sweeper segment: In future, the starmix line will comprise machines for professional use, while the haaga line will feature machines for private users. At the same time, a new machine is being introduced in the form of the haaga 677 plus.

“With the reorganization, we have created a clear, color-coded product range for our customers,” says Ralph Burkart, responsible for sweeper sales at ELECTROSTAR/starmix. At the same time, the sweepers in all lines have been redesigned and some have been equipped with new waste containers and push bars.
Three haaga machines, four in the starmix line
The haaga line, which comes in black and red, will in future include three sweepers for private individuals: the haaga 255, haaga 375 (both manually powered) and the new haaga 677 plus model (battery-powered brushes). For occasional use, there are therefore machines with sweeping widths of 55–77 cm.
The starmix range for professionals includes the DuroSweep 77 Pro models designed for regular use and their battery-powered variant, the DuroSweep 77 Pro 18V. The battery-powered machine uses the lithium-ion interchangeable battery from the manufacturer-independent battery alliance CAS, meaning that batteries from many well-known power tool manufacturers can be used. The starmix range, which comprises a total of four sweepers, is completed by the starmix 497 and starmix 697, which were previously marketed as haaga and, with their 97 cm sweeping width, are designed more for professional users. The starmix line differs from the haaga line in color, with its anthracite-red color scheme.
Turbo sweeping principle for professionals and private users
Regardless of the product line, all models except for the smallest model, the haaga 255, are equipped with the turbo sweeping system, consisting of two disc brushes and a fine dirt sweeping roller. The area being swept is thus swept twice in one pass, reliably removing coarse and fine dirt. “The special feature of this proven invention is that the disc brushes are more than just side brushes—they don't just sweep the dirt into the middle, but transport it directly from the front into the waste container,” says Andreas Schneider, Product Manager for Sweepers at ELECTROSTAR/starmix.
haaga 677 plus: With battery support for private users
As part of the repositioning of the sweeper segment, a new device is also being introduced: the haaga 677 plus replaces its predecessor, the haaga 677 Profi, and offers a longer battery life, among other things. Power is supplied by a lead-acid battery, which is included in the scope of delivery. The model makes use of design elements from the professional sector: “Our aim was to combine the advantages of our professional DuroSweep device with the requirements of private households, thus creating a device for the highest demands in the private sector,” explains Andreas Schneider. The haaga 677 plus will be available in stores from October.
