Dustfixx pre-separator: With cyclone technology against large amounts of dust

Stuttgart/Ebersbach, 22.10.2024 – Intensive sanding, milling or sawing work generates a considerable amount of dust, which can affect the suction power of even powerful vacuum cleaners. With the Dustfixx pre-separator, ELECTROSTAR/starmix has now launched an easy-to-use solution on the market that solves this problem.

“Especially on construction sites, there is often the problem that enormous amounts of dust accumulate, which can quickly clog the filters of vacuum cleaners and dust extractors and thus reduce the suction power,” explains Florenz Stetter, Head of Product Management at ELECTROSTAR/starmix. As a result, the suction power decreases and dust can get into the room air. This is particularly risky with mineral or wood dusts containing quartz, as these have been proven to be carcinogenic and must not be inhaled under any circumstances
This is where the new addition to the starmix range comes in: Cyclone technology retains coarse and fine dust and dirt particles before they enter the vacuum cleaner. This protects the main filter from premature clogging and keeps the suction power constantly high. “With a separation efficiency of over 99 % for wood dust and over 90 % for mineral dust, the pre-separator significantly reduces the load on the main filter and thus contributes to a safe working environment,” says Stetter. The device is therefore also eligible for BG BAU funding.

Compact design and high performance
The pre-separator is designed for starmix vacuum cleaners from the ISP, ISC and uClean series. However, the hose connection is also suitable for appliances from other manufacturers. The Metabox mounting system allows the Dustfixx to be locked onto Unifix adapter plates, all Metabox interfaces and ISP vacuum cleaners with rails. “With a size of 43x33x38 cm, the pre-separator has a compact design,” says Stetter. “Angled sockets on the connecting hose allow it to be used even in confined spaces.” The Dustfixx can also be used with a disposal bag, which enables low-dust disposal of the vacuumed material.
