Expansion to Eastern Europe

ELECTROSTAR/starmix plans site opening in Nýřany.

Stuttgart/Ebersbach, 12. September 2022 ELECTROSTAR is pushing ahead with its global expansion strategy. With the planned purchase of the new site near Pilsen in the Czech Republic, ELECTROSTAR/starmix is taking the next step towards corporate diversification. The new production facility will initially cover an area of 5,000 square meters. In the future, there is also the possibility of expanding it by 4,000 square meters in the immediate vicinity. Start for the first lines is the second quarter of next year.

After the successful merger with PRODUCTEERS, ELECTROSTAR/starmix is strengthening its international presence: In order to create new capacities, to relieve the sites in Shanghai and Ebersbach, which are running at maximum capacity, and at the same time to become more flexible, ELECTROSTAR/starmix plans to open a new site in the Czech Republic. In the future, this will complement the existing productions in China and Germany: while large quantities are produced at low cost in Shanghai, Ebersbach serves small batches with high flexibility and short delivery times. "The new production in Eastern Europe should sustainably strengthen our global growth," says Roman Gorovoy, Managing Director of ELECTROSTAR/starmix.

More flexibility
The site is said to have high flexibility and fast delivery times with competitive manufacturing costs. At only four hours away, the new production facility is also close to the main site and can therefore access the existing supplier base. In addition, integration will be faciliated by the fact that the core team already speaks German and has a good level of training. The initial focus will be on specially developed products.

Ebersbach will remain the know-how headquarters, where the threads of the global activities come together. Consequently, the new location will not affect jobs or capacity utilization at Ebersbach.

Today, ELECTROSTAR GmbH, which has been part of the Algo Group since 2007, stands for innovative technologies, outstanding quality and uncompromising customer orientation. Under the starmix brand, the company develops, produces and sells a wide range of powerful vacuum cleaners for trade, commerce and industry worldwide. Since the acquisition of Haaga Kehrsysteme GmbH in 2012, innovative sweepers have also been part of the product range. In 2020, ELECTROSTAR/starmix and Haaga Kehrsysteme merged. The company employs around 200 people at its sites in Ebersbach. The two brands starmix and Haaga generated a turnover of around 41 million euros in 2020.
