four-stage system for absolute hygiene

New Starmix hand dryer for clean air and all-round protection against viruses.

Stuttgart/Ebersbach, 02. November 2021   Hygiene, sustainability and efficiency are very important drivers today when it comes to developing the next generation of warm air hand dryers. Reason enough for ELECTROSTAR/starmix to come up with another new product in the anniversary year of its 100th anniversary. The new TC-BL HEPA hand dryer has a four-stage cleaning principle so that only absolutely clean air reaches the hands.

Drying hands, killing viruses and cleaning air - the new TC-BL HEPA hand dryer from ELECTROSTAR/starmix is an absolute all-round talent. To remove dust, pollen, mold, bacteria and viruses from the intake air, the dryer has four mechanisms. In the first step, the HEPA filter stops 99.988% of all microorganisms and dirt particles. Permanent hygiene is guaranteed here. Thanks to the special antimicrobial surface coating of the housing, the growth of germs is also prevented. The silver and copper ions contained in the coating form a protective layer. In addition to this ION PURE technology, UVC irradiation is also used. The air drawn in is guided along a UVC light source in the filter. The rays destroy even the smallest pathogens. This method has long proved its worth and is also used in laboratories to sterilize air and surfaces. Finally, a plasma generator produces negative ions that neutralize any microbes by combining with the positively charged pollutants in the air. Thus, the filter not only has an antibacterial and antiviral effect, but also neutralizes odors.

Another bonus is provided by the ECO air sterilizer function. Thus, the warm air hand dryer not only ensures dry hands, but also supports air purification at the same time. 12 cubic meters of air per hour can thus be purified quite incidentally. The application works with only 8.6 watts and has no effect on the life of the motor. Whether with the heater switched on for a warming hand dryer or without, hands are quickly dried with virtually sterile air.

Maximum efficiency for the environment and the wallet
The new hand dryer is not only the healthiest way to dry hands, it is also highly efficient and sustainable. Calculated over the year, it only costs around 14 euros in energy. Unlike with paper towels, only one gram of CO2 emissions is produced per use. This makes the hot-air hand dryer particularly sustainable, and the purchase pays for itself after six to eight months with an average frequency of use. It also eliminates the need for trash cans overflowing with wipes and constant refilling. Despite the low energy consumption, the motor runs at a remarkable 320 watts. This combines performance, sustainability and hygiene in one.

starmix
- a piece of German industrial history that is being continued with great success in the 21st century. The industrious Swabians have been manufacturing vacuum cleaners since 1921 and invented the hot-air hand dryer four years later. In the years of the economic miracle, starmix achieved world renown: the universal starmix kitchen machine became a bestseller that no good household could do without. Today, ELECTROSTAR GmbH, which has been part of the Algo Group since 2007, stands for innovative technologies, outstanding quality and uncompromising customer orientation. Under the starmix brand, the company develops, produces and sells a wide range of powerful vacuum cleaners for trade, commerce and industry worldwide. Since the acquisition of Haaga Kehrsysteme GmbH in 2012, innovative sweepers have also been part of the product range. In 2020, ELECTROSTAR/starmix and Haaga Kehrsysteme merged. The company employs around 200 people at its sites in Ebersbach. The two brands starmix and Haaga generated a turnover of around 41 million euros in 2020.
